Carrying Stories is a mixed-media work that reflects identity, heritage, and the quiet strength found in everyday life. Combining acrylic painting with authentic African fabrics sourced from Ivory Coast, the piece merges contemporary pop-inspired aesthetics with deeply personal cultural references. The patterned textiles integrated into the figure’s clothing function as both visual anchors and symbols of memory, history, and connection.
